The song popularly (and annoyingly) known by many as “Please, Please Tell Me now,” was released on March 19, 1983 — and debuted at the number one spot on the British singles chart, and was, in fact, their first #1 in the UK.
The video (yet another one directed by Russell Mulcahy) ended up being one of the most popular videos of the year on the still-young American television channel MTV.
